C7 TPMS reprogram for C6?

The 2005-2009 C6 uses one model tire pressure sensor, and the 2010-2013 uses a different model sensor - and you must use the correct sensor for each model year C6 or they won't work.
The C7 uses an entirely different tire pressure sensor that won't work in any C6.

Sold a set of C7 rims/tires to a C6 guy who told me his dealer tech said they could be re-used and re-programmed..
