Traction control and stability control question
Can I pull the fuses at the track just to have the traction control NOT work at all while I am making my passes? If so will that solve my problem? I do not care about the purpose of traction control....i have been drag racing for over thirty years NHRA Super Gas and Super Comp Vettes so I play with my daily driver Vette....I also had 3 TWIN TURBO VIPERS and. One Supercharged Viper and raced them all,, 1000 - 1200 hp....I am very experienced with handling fast cars....just NOT familiar with this Z51 traction control problem at the track,,,,I don't want it to interfere with my pass...
Can anyone help me with this problem and not criticize me about not wanting traction control and all....? I would greatly appreciate your input...Thank you....

When you put the car in Track Mode/Race Mode you turn off stability and traction control but do activate Performance Traction Management. PTM limits wheel spin to the available traction so if you are spinning your wheels it will do something to stop that from happening. This feature is also used in Launch Mode. I suspect you would be better off trying to launch the car in tour mode by pushing the center button once to turn off Traction Control. PTM isn't available in Tour Mode.
PTM seems to be mainly designed for Road Racing Applications so the driver can get on the throttle sooner while exiting a corner but hasn't reached the point where the front wheels are straight. The instructions are to go full throttle (not worry about spinning out) and let PTM handle the wheel spin. I have started using it more and more but still haven't been able to trust it to keep me out of the toolies by going full throttle in the middle of a turn.
