Posted a couple months ago about my issues with "transmission shudder" in my 2016 Stingray with A8 transmission. Pleased to report that on the second trip to dealer, Cecil Clark Chevrolet, here in Lessburg, Fl., they went over and above after agreeing that the issue existed and they replaced the torque converter, drained and flushed all lines, refilled and tripled checked complete operation of transmission and the vehicle as a whole. Took 5 working days and the service and attitude of everyone involved was just great. I didn't purchase the car from them but you can bet when I am ready in a year or 2 to get a new Corvette, they will be the first in line for my business.
Really did appreciate their can do attitude and willingness to get it done and make me happy. Thanks again, Ed and Rich..great folks to work with.

Congrats but your thread title is a little misleading. *Your* A8 issue was resolved. But we don't have an overall and final resolution to the A8 issue(s).

I just took my 2015 in and am having the same problem and they just informed me that I will need a new torque converter, car only has 6900 miles on it

My TC job was completed two weeks ago and the car is running perfect for the first time since it was new. For those who haven't had the pleasure of going through this ordeal, but may in the future, be sure the dealer uses the latest TC revision, which is #24280631. It is apparently the third revision since the original A8 part and is too new to know for sure if it is the magic bullet, but I wouldn't accept any of the previous part #s (24264542, 24273061, or 24279495). Also, the fluid used today is apparently the second revision, now #19353429. The SM at my dealer told me this fluid must be used with the new parts, and two purge cycles must be implemented to get all the old fluid out.
