Default Temporary stripes

I see people wrapping entire cars, and I'm wondering how hard it is to do stripes? And do they look as good vinyl/paint once on?

I'm curious as to whether, for example, I could add factory-appearing silver stripes to my car for a summer. May not want them permanently, so it seems like it'd be a fun and easy way to test drive them, but how do you get them measured and cut?

What about at a shop that does wraps but maybe has never done Corvette stripes?

The oem factory stripes are just vinyl, you can remove those whenever you want. Any good shop that does wraps should be able to do any kind of stripes you want. There are a few companies that sell precut stripe packages, I found this one on vettefx:

They used to be a forum vendor, I'm not sure if they still are. Or you could contact a trunkmonkey or cultrag to get an oem stripe kit.

The process of installation is easy if you are patient. Easy to remove also. It depends on your color and where you live also. Sun can cause some oxidation differences if you decide to remove. Meaning the paint around the vinyl may oxidize slightly while the paint under the decal looks factory still. That is only after a while though.

Thanks! Car is garaged so I'm not too worried about differences in paint aging.

$816 is a lot for vinyl (to me, that could be a steal, no idea) that you then have to install. If that was the installed price I'd jump on it! But I've got a feeling I wouldn't get it perfect my first attempt.

I've put 3M vinyl side stripes on a Mustang, but this looks more involved... plus mine's a Convertible, if that matters for fitment.
