Default 2017 Z06-- Overheating solved?

I bought the 2017 Z06 a few days ago, and was curious if they solved the overheating issues that they said they would? I have only 200 miles now, but wondered if they for sure changed design to solve the issue for tracking the car, etc.. Any other improvements that may have been made?

Thanks!

Are you talking about high coolant temps or trans temps ??
These cars all read 220* on the coolant temps on the dash gauge almost immediately---Yeah that seems high but when data logging my car the actual coolant temps were more like 200* So a 220 coolant temp is normal--

Summer is coming. We'll see how they fare on the track.

Actually, the analogue gauge needle is pointed to 210° hash mark but the number "220" is really referencing the next hash mark. This confused me at first until I figured out what each hash mark represented. This has been discussed a few time before.

Why would you use an analog gage that has no resolution when a digital gage is available? The digital gage provides a reading that is just as accurate as the analog gage but it has much better resolution. By the way the information is sent to the IP as a digital message so the analog gage is giving you a conversion of the digital number. You can put all of the digital readings to the right of the speedo by placing the display in touring mode.

Seems to me to be a little late asking that question. However, there was a thread started here the other day which compared a 17 model Vs a 15 and 16. Not really a quantitative comparison but informative.

Seeing how the GMPP Secondary Radiator reduced temps on 15 and 16 M7 cars I suspect that will show in the 17 M7s since they now come with that radiator from the factory. The S/C changes supposedly affect cooling of inlet air going to the rear most cylinders and from the above mentioned thread the poster observed that his car didn't seem to drop off in power over long track runs. I know my 15 M7 with the Secondary Radiator installed will lose 5 or 6 mph top speed from cool morning to hot afternoon temps at the end of long straights where speeds reach the mid triple digits. Where I was running 154 to 155 mph in the morning I then drop to 148 to 149 later in the day. Not a huge drop but a noticeable one.
