Got it done! Ended up costing $300 for the labor at Oakley Muffler in Brentwood Ca. $400 with tips from summit. Wow, it’s loud! I already have a Corsa double Helix X pipe and that may be contributing to the volume. The difference was very apparent the moment it started up. It has a much deeper lower sound. At low RPM’s it has some harmonic vibration and drone. It also has that, I’m not muffled sloppiness at low rpm. It’s not crazy, but it’s there. It’s definitely not for the feint of heart. It’s pretty much race car volume. On the freeway at 80 mph in 7th gear, it’s actually not to bad, if your the type that put amazing sound first. Cause after 3k RPM is magical! Holy ****, it’s loud, raspy and dam near perfect! My neighbor came out of his house and told me it sounded like a Nascar lol. He loved it! It finally has the aggressive popping on deceleration that I love. The rev match is just silly now. The sound matches the car now! Just amazing!

If your young or need sound to complete your car this is your mod. At high RPM, with two cats and an X pipe, it sounds perfect. Just monsterous!

If your older and like to have conversations, and hate any drone, skip this. Or keep your stock X pipe. My wife has the Borla X and loves how loud her car is. She got in mine last night and said, “are you crazy, it’s so loud”.

Edit: One up side is all of my tips will be the same color going forward. Downside, it’s harder to hear calls and my car struggles to hear me give voice commands.

Shitty video of nothing other than sound, and not he greatest location for the mic. Windows down second to third gear back down to first. As usual, cell phone mic does not do the proper justice.

You were a brave man to do the muffler delete with catless x-pipe. The main reason this mod isn't crazy loud is the fact there's 4 cats on the C7's. With the 2 cats in the x-pipe section being removed, it's gonna scream.

Glad you're happy with your mod, and you saved a ton of $.

Ok so last sunday at our track rental, I blew my Corsa exhaust off when doing a run. It basically decoupled where the over axle pipes meet the mufflers on both sides. Maybe I didn't tighten the clamp enough. I ended up taking the mifflers off the car while at the track so I could drive it home. I decided to spend $35 at the parts store (Advanced Auto) and bought some exhaust flex pipe and some adapters and basically "made" a straight pipe setup for now until I figure out what I am going to do permanently. I'd like to do the Hooker Blackheart Z06 axle back without mufflers. But those are $900+ . At least they are stainless and are 3".

So heres what it ended up looking like LOL. It actually sounds a lot like NPP exhaust with the valves open to me. Funny thing is I took it like this to a dyno day yesterday and got second highest HP of the day at 850HP on a mustang dyno lol. Everyone got a kick out of the exhaust haha.

Laugh all you want! Car is fully driveable for now until I make up my mind on what I am doing permamently LOL

I love what you did! A true enthusiast! I learned how to wrench making things work back in my beginning motorcycle racing days. Do what needs to be done and drive on! I used to hold my leathers and bike togeher with duct tape and zip ties with no traction control or insurance!

Thanks for the video. Sounds loud, just what I need. Any way to reuse my stock tips after muffler delete ? Or do you keep the tips attached to mufflers so it can sell together ?

Can’t reuse the stock tips. It would be possible, but cost more than buying a 1 into 2 Pipe with tip combo. The stock tips go right into the muffler.

Wanted to ask if anyone that has done a muffler delete has any regrets? I've been contemplating getting this done but am very hesitant. I don't really know why? Maybe because it seems odd to cut off the muffler to a 2019??? LOL.

I find the car to be way to quite and definitely want an increase in sound and this seems to be the way to get it done. If you've done this please let em know any issues/drawbacks that you've had since doing it. Also if you have noticed any increase or decrease in performance? Any CIL?

Thank You!

I went with the hooker blackheart muffler delete, if you can find one used it’s a perfect bolt on kit and sounds amazing, they’re about $1000 new
