I want to move my 9500I from the 2004 to the new 2014. I bought the mirror attachment device but looking for any advice as to where to hook up the power.... thinking there should be some 12 volt dc around the mirror. In the 04 I ran it direct to the fuse block.... I have the direct power cord , not the cigar lighter plug-in. What has anyone else done? Thanks, Courtney

thanks Kracka, just what i am looking for. Purple is the hot wire and what do you use to ground it? Did that little cover just snap off? I see you cut a small opening for the wire. I assume this turns the detector on with the key and off when shut off engine. Thanks! CJ

Purple is keyed with the ignition so the detector turns on/off with the car; the ground is black. That little cover easily snaps off and then back on again; I cut the little indent to make sure the wire didn't get pinched or rubbed bare over over.
