Default Temperature display on center screen

Just bought a 2014 Stingray. Everything is like brand new except dealer let the battery dye. Outdoor thermostat reads -- on center screen. He tells me to bring it back to reset. Is this true and if so can I do it. Dealer is like 50 miles away.

You are much more likely to get assistance in the C7 Forum with a C7 issue than you are in the C5 Forum where you posted............

This has happened to others with the C7 after the battery went dead or was disconnected. It should come back on its own after a couple of restarts. Give it a couple of days and if it still doesn't work then bring it back but I don't think this will be necessary.

I'd say if it doesn't come back in a couple of days:

Pull the battery cable for 20 minutes
Reconnect
Drive as normal for 2-3 more days

THEN if it doesn't come back, look at the dealer. But being from Microsoft, my first response is always "Have you tried rebooting?" :-)

Yep, same thing happened to me... I just replaced my battery and the temperature was the only thing I noticed that was lost.

It did not come back after the first restart, but after driving it around for a day it suddenly started to working.
