Default Base manual C7 dyno results

Dynoed my base manual C7 with AFE intake, 180 degree stat, borla xpipe, self ported TB and smoothed some rough casting areas in the intake manifold runners and the mouth. 432 rwhp, 428 lb ft of torque after tune. The factory tune with mods was 425 /425 1 hr before. The mods without a tune were working IMO. This was on a Superflow WinDyn , STP power with a 1.038 correction factor for the temp and pressure. Tuner says SAE is 1 percent less to a max of maybe 2 percent.
Figuring a 15 % drivetrain loss that's 496.8 crank horse. With a 12 % percent loss its 483.8 horse.

What was the power before the mods?

Is this corrected to standard conditions?

The dyno was set at standard not sae and the correction factor for the day was 1.038 to offset the 77 degrees, humidity and pressure difference . I never did a pull on the car with no mod's. I believe most LT1's stock are in the 400 - 410 neighborhood so I truly believe my mods have given me some additional real horsepower and torque as the pull on the factory tune indicates.

Nice numbers--be great to see what quarter mile times/trap speed it'll run now.

I have been down the 1/4mile with 3/4 of the stuff done last year 12.04 with a 118 trap and a lousy 60ft 2.04. The car should now dip into the 11's with maybe a 119 trap I hope.

Your setup conflicts with the title of your post, this is not a "base manual C7"

Stock MPSS, I concentrate on getting out of the hole with out tire spin, slip the clutch out and ease into the throttle the same time while feeling the bite. I need to be more aggressive to try and do a 1.9 or high 1.8 60 ft, hard to do with a manual.

I revealed the mods immediately , wanted people to know my car is a manual, non Z51, and the only changes were mine. Nothing prior as I bought it new.

I think it is a good idea to run a baseline before doing any mods. Some of these dynos seem to really inflate the numbers, probably to make the customers feel good about their expenses.

Why is it not a base? I think you are confusing "stock" with "base"...

Very true. You should only trust a dyno for judging gains, not exactly how much you gain. Those mods...I don't see them making almost 500hp. Maybe with headers.

To me it implied stock. And as others are saying, nice to have that baseline at stock to really compare, that's kind of what I was thinking the post was, a baseline run.

No big deal :-)
