Default Borla X-pipe question

I recently got a borla X pipe. On the flanges that connect to engine down pipe. Are there they suppose to be threaded, mine are smooth? Mine came with 4 screws but no way they going through unless I thread it or just use smaller bolts with a nut on one end.

I have a borla xpipe in my garage waiting to get installed and the flanges are threaded.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. Anytime I can get something not completed it will happen.

I was contemplating just putting bolts with nuts in it but Borla is suppose to be contacting me with a replacement on the way.

I just received my Borla x-pipe (p/n 60547) and upon unboxing and inspection discovered that it too has unthreaded flanges. What's going on with Borla's quality control???

Speed4tu, did Borla ever rectify the situation and send you a replacement x-pipe? I'm also curious as to which vender you purchased from? I'm wondering if a bad batch went out to a specific vendor.

I think Borla made one big bad batch and it went everywhere.

I received one also a few weeks ago. I did not know until it was apart on the lift and i was at that point of install. I even tried to tap the flanges but the tap broke. I called Borla tech support and they overnighted me a brand new one. Installed without a problem.

I guess a whole bad batch exists in inventories so it is a matter of who draws the short straw. Call them up and they will overnight you a new one and send a Fedex call tag.

Well, everyone loves a great deal. What I love even better is a great deal that's also backed up by great service and support.

While I was unfortunate to receive a bad part (it happens sometimes), I was comforted by the outstanding service and support provided by both Meraki Autoworks and Borla Industries. Both were quick to address the problem and make it right. I had my replacement x-pipe within a short few days and everything was right again. It's this kind of great service that earns my future business.

Many thanks to Joshua at Meraki and Steve at Borla!!! Keep up the great service.

Glad that everything worked out great. Usually, I'd follow up to make sure everything went well but I know my guys at Borla go over the top to make sure everything is done correctly..

Sorry about the issue, but enjoy your new pipe!
