Four cylinder active fuel management technology?
Looking to buy a 2015 Stingray 3LT convertible. Does the 2015 Corvette have the four cylinder active fuel management technology?

With manual transmission, AFM is only active in ECO driving mode. With auto trans, AFM is active in all modes unless trans is in manual mode, shifting with paddles.
There is an aftermarket device available that plugs into the ODBII port that disables AFM.

It's very unobtrusive and happens only under a pretty narrow set of circumstances. I can hear a lower, rumbly sound in the exhaust and that's about it. It's never bothered me, and I have the automatic, so it'll do it at any time the parameters are met. Doesn't bother me at all. Wouldn't wish for it if I didn't have it, but doesn't bother me.

You can also disable AFM using the Diablo Tuner. Some forum members feel that GM can detect alterations using this approach, but the vendor indicates that it is not detectable if restored before going to GM for service.
