Hey all somewhat of a new member and have a 2015 C7 with now 3K miles on it. What a blast it is to drive. So my question to the group is I read some of the blogs on the C7 Shudder problem and thanks to this group who guided me to the correct Torque Converter replacement which the dealer installed and solved the problem. The shudder drove me nuts and finally have it fixed. However a follow up question. In normal Touring mode the shift is more like a normal car and shifts smoothly. But if you move to Track or Sport mode and drop the hammer the shift is more sharp with a pop sound (kind of) between shifts, but this may be normal in these modes but maybe someone can help with this who knows the car better.
Thanks.
Shift programming is changed for firmer and faster shifts in sport and track mode so what you are seeing is entirely normal. The pop sound is also normal at high throttle shifts and is from the engine power being briefly interrupted to allow much faster shift completion.
