So this morning i was on my way to work top down stuck in some traffic. There was a accident. the Traffic cleared I got on her for about a mile. All was well...I get stuck in more traffic and the warning lights are flashing about overheating. I turn the car off. Smoke is pouring out of the left side where the coolant resivior is i pop the hood and coolant is leaking from that area. but i cant see where the engine is way to hot. So i call for a tow. he tells me to move it because im somewhat in traffic. we add a little coolant and she will not crank at all. so he blocks traffic and tows to my home. i add a little more coolant and its not leaking. I try and crank it and it wont crank at all. its saying service battery. the battery is charging.
but im starting to think maybe i blew up the engine?
Hopefully not a blown head gasket which will pressurize the cooling system with exhaust gas pushing the coolant out of the reservoir and can also allow coolant to leak back into the cylinder after shutoff resulting in hydrolock and inability to crank. Assuming the car is stock it should still be in powertrain warranty (unless you have really run up the miles past 100K) so contact you local dealer and have it towed to the dealership.

I agree. If it isn't under warranty anymore (hard to believe with 5 year 100K power train warranty) then pull the spark plugs and see if it will crank then. Taking out the plugs leaves an escape path for any fluid that might be in a cylinder if you have a leaky head gasket.

Check the oil dip stick to see what that looks like also. But don't crank on it any more.
Thanks guys, SHe actually started and purred like a kitten. However, Coolant starting pouring out of reservoir. So im thinking blockage. Its going in this morning via tow so they can look at it.
