QUESTION regarding octane level on SC
I've tried to search for the question, couldn't find it. So here it is:
My C7 is SCed and tuned to run at 93 octane. Now, I know on stock cars with NA engines, it doesnt make a diff running more octane when your not tuned at all. But on a car that is SC..would their be any benefit in running let's say 100 octane race fuel for a certain night with the tune I am on now for increased power?

Yes, cause with SC and tune you advance timing which requires higher octane to prevent knock that is why I installed Alky meth kit to shoot 110 octane racing fuel to mix with California's highest octane gas of 91. That mist of meth mixes with my gas of 91 and result is 101 octane when under boost. I have no knock and I get 609 RWHP

Depends on the tune. If the tune is set to max the timing out for what 93 will support, then you'd get no benefit from "more" octane. If the tune is already pulling timing due to knock at 93, then you'd benefit.
Without changing the tune, no knock == no benefit.

Thank you guys! Yah it's spacifically tuned at 93. I just wanted to understand the science behind it. I thought maybe there was a chance to gain like 30-50hp with just increasing octane levels.
