I have 19/20 inch summer tires on my 2017 Stingray. The recommended pressure on the door jamb is 30lbs. front and back. I always check pressure in the morning after overnight in the garage. My digital gauge registers 28 to 28.5 lbs. per tire and the TPMS reads the 30 lbs. on all 4, recommended by mfgr. Which reading should I believe? Thanks. Max
Well??? You could check the gauge against another gauge. I've got about 4 different pressure gauges, a compressor, and a portable air tank. I can fill the tank to some pressure, say 40 psi using the Compressor gauge, then check that pressure with the others. (they are all within 1 psi...) The tpms? not so much...
I'm pretty sure all my gauges are accurate, the Tpms reads about 2 psi less. Sooooo....
I fill the tires to 30 psi via known gauges, then the tpms reads what it reads, and that becomes the reference.
rrsperry, Thanks for your input. I never cared much for the TPMS. Too many bells and whistles. I did call my dealer and the service tech. said to believe the TPMS and not the gauges. I am going to buy another gauge for comparison. By the way, I have 2 body weight scales here at home and always believe the lowest number. Thanks again.

I don't believe you will get an accurate reading on the TPMS until you drive a few miles. Same with outside temperature gauge.
