Default Replacement Brake Rotor Rings

I’m looking at purchasing a 2017 Grand Sport W\O the Z07 package. I'm trying to get a handle the the price of consumables. I have a question about the brake rotors. I noticed they are floating or semi floating rotors. I plan to tracking the car and assume I will eventually wear out the rotors.

Since they are two piece rotors, can the steel rotor ring be purchased separately? Since that is the only consumable part of the rotor and the hat is not. I took a quick look on-line and found only complete rotors available for sale. I found them for around $370ea. for the front and rear. Still cheaper than the Z07 package carbon ceramic rotors at $1,500ea. But I was wondering if getting only the ring might be cheaper than buying the hat and rotor.

GM doesn't sell rings, just the entire rotor plus hat. Stupid to make them 2 piece but not to sell the 2 pieces separately.

DBA makes a rotor ring that will fit the stock hats.

I bought a set of Gyrodisc rotors and will switch to them when I need new rotors, then buy their replacement rings.

Thanks for the info. I looked at the products from DBA & Gyrodisc. I have a question about the replacements.

Looking at the OEM rotors, it looks like they are the full floating. At least that is what I can tell from the pictures I saw of the OEM rotors. The rotor to hat attachment point fasteners look just like the front rotors on my sport bike, and it has full floating rotors.

The aftermarket rotors seem to have the rings solidly bound to the hats with their fasteners. I assume this is not a critical issue since both third party companies are making them a solid unit?

GM doesn't sell the rotor rings since it doesn't make sense at a dealer repair shop. The labor charge for replacing the rings would raise the cost above the cost of a complete rotor. Add to that the cost of managing 3 part numbers (rings, bolts, hats) vs 1part (complete rotor).

Thanks for the info. I just purchased the car, so it will be a while until I'll need to replace them. Now I'm working on setting up brake cooling to the front brakes. I plan on getting the kit made by LG Motorsports.
