Default Vette wet from rain

had vette painted. while being done the guy left my car out in the rain, with either the passagener window down. or while painting the roof and hood and only put my car cover on it. the passagener floor and seat are wet. I used towels to get as much water up. And now have a heater drying everything out. Gauages won't move, can not hear fule pump. The security light will not come on. PLEASE HELP. Thank you

Have you contacted painter? Should have been first thing to do to verify when/how it happened. They should step up & pay for any resulting repairs. 2nd thing would have been to immediately take to dealer so they too could verify wet inside car & problems occuring. Also lots of quality pics of whatever will show up. Very sorry to hear this happened. If you've done all or some of this, good for you. I have no mechanical suggestions as far as guages/fuel pump-sorry-good luck!

The BCM is located under the passenger side carpet. If it got wet, you will have electrical issues.

Not what you want to hear and not trying to sound like a pessimist, but your situation sounds very similar to those that have suffered flood damage to their cars and most ended up being totaled due to the extent of the electrical issues that stem from the water. Hopefully yours can be fixed without further issues.

Likely totaled by now. Contact your insurance and take it to the dealer immediately to get inspected. I hope the painter has insurance because it will cost him a lot. I would not try to fix it yourself. A lot of stuff can be messed up and you could have mildew in the car. That stuff isn't healthy.
