Default Unusual DIC behavior

I started my 2017 GS and the DIC did not come on as it normally does. I turned off the engine, waited a moment and restarted. The DIC remained black. I tried a third time. No joy. Next, I raised and lowered the screen with no effect. Tried the on/off button, no effect. Tried the Home, Radio and Media buttons with no effect. The radio was on and I tried using the volume control to the left of the DIC but it had no effect on the volume. I tried the steering wheel volume and it worked fine.

I started driving and about three or four minutes later, the screen came on with an unusual image. See the attached photo. I took several photos, but they all came out blurry like this one due, I think, to the intensity of the white pixels.

Next to STATUS it says "Waiting for Update Media".

Next to System it says "GMG3G_LUNIX_16.1D027".

The numbers in the lower right corner started at about 1.00 and progressed .10 at a time, but much faster than ten second intervals, so i have no idea what that is marking.

When I shut my car off, the image stayed on the screen. 25 minutes later, it was still there, despite the fact that the car had been off during that period of time. Finally, after about 45 minutes, the screen went black.

I put GMG3G_LUNIX_16 into Google and it came up with a Chevy Cruze thread that appeared to be a similar issue, but the OP didn't ever follow up about a final fix.

A little research leads me to believe that this may somehow be connected to a problem with the WiFi, Bluetooth, or MyLink, but I'm not certain.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if so, how was it solved?

Obviously, if no one has a solution and it doesn't correct itself, my next step is to go to the dealer to get a diagnosis and fix.

Thanks in advance.

Trip to the dealer is in order. HMI module needs to be reprogrammed. Here's the TSB > http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...rint-1326.html

Thanks for the reply, cam30era! Your link was spot on. Took it to the dealer and they were aware of the bulletin. They flashed the DIC and all is well.

This is why I love Corvette Forum; Corvette enthusiasts sharing information and helping one another.
