Default 2014 C7 overheating

Car, with the Z51 package, seems to over heat when driving slowly - under 10mph and engine fan comes on even after short drives. Normal road driving seems to be OK but haven't taken any long trips lately. Overheated and warning came on that AC will be turned off till cooler. Temp gauge in the red and stay that way until started driving faster then cooled to 220. Short trips of 10-20 miles turns the fan on after I've stopped and turned off the car.

The cooling stack may well be loaded with bugs or debris and a fan that isn't functioning properly could also be an issue. I haven't looked closely at the fan in my Z06 but many fans have flaps that seal when the fan is on to ensure the air is being drawn through the cooling stack but the flaps open under pressure at speed so that air flow isn't impeded. If those are damaged the fan won't be very effective.

^^^ Not the case on my 2014 did the same I ended up putting in a Dewitts rad, Also with that Evans waterless coolant, Then put in a D3 new set of FANS. Now dont even hit 210 on the hottest day. Plus also put in the LRM housing & 160 in it also...

I think 230 plus is just to dam hot for my liken.

My 2014 just had a sudden overheat and loss of coolant. Ended up being a defective radiator cap. The dealer said mine was the second 2014 recently with that issue.

do the fans stay on after you turn the motor off, we were in some stop and go traffic going to a cruise in and when we walked off from the car the fan stayed on, looked like the temp was around 200-220.
Yal know I bought this car because in the ferrari world this happen all the time, put a new rad in the f car now it never goes over 195. WOW the stingray runs at 220?
What the hell have I gotten my self into, LOL

Mine has run after turning the car off on only two occasions. Both times after spirited driving when outside temps were over 110.
