I've searched the Forum and cannot find anything reported like my problem. My new Stringray wipers do not function at all when I turn the stalk switch--nothing at any setting. However, when I pull the stalk toward me or push it down they do as they are supposed to. I found a fuse (#1) that seems to be for the wipers and checked it--it was okay for continuity but I know sometimes they can check for c, but cannot carry a load. I didn't have one of these oddball (to me) "J" fuses to swap, so will get some tomorrow.
I also found two of the little relays that may be windshield wiper related but I do not know how to get them out nor how to test them. I'll try getting a couple of those, too, to swap
Anyone else encounter this? I've tried wiggling the switch when it should be on and that gets nothing. It seems like it may simply be a bad switch but I'd like to try obvious, simple possible fixes before turning over to a dealer. Thoughts? THANKS, in advance!
There should be a spare fuse of each size in the engine compartment fuse box. Look at the row along the edge - fuses numbered in the 60's and 70's. Wiper motors are typically on thermal overloads in addition to fuses.
Sounds like it's not a fuse or relay since the wipers will move when you push or pull. More likely a bad switch or bad / loose connection somewhere.

Good luck,

I would put more on the loose connection on these cars. My OBD2 port had a loose connection wouldn't let me do a hand tune onto the car. The 3rd chev dealership got it fixed man if your dealership is not a good corvette deal take it to one that is. Are ask them if they have a tech that has gone to KY for the service of the corvette. Each dealer has to pay 25,k for one to go most will not do it. Plus had to drive my car 75 miles to deal that knows what they are doing on the vette.. Robert

Thanks, Robert. I well understand the issue with dealers... and, totally agree.
I took my C5 back to where I'd ordered it (locally) for several warranty issues and it came back with something else screwed up every time, NO exaggeration! So, earlier this year when it needed work I trailered it 65 miles away.
I'll most likely drive the C7 to this same dealer. They did well with a number of ****ling things on the C5. Hopefully, they'll know something about C7s since they seem to stock, sell, and service quite a few, or so it seemed when I stopped in and cased the joint before committing my C5. We'll see later this year; for now I'll stock up on Rain X for a while. Thanks all for your input.
I hope I'm wrong in assuming you are not using the wiper stalk correctly. If so you have my apology.
You mention rotating the handle, but that is only to set the delay time for the intermittent function. To turn the wipers on you have to push the stalk upward. The first detent is for the intermittent wipe. The next detent is for low continuous speed and the third detent is for high speed.
Pulling the handle down gives a single wipe and pulling the lever toward you is for the washers.
I really hope I'm wrong: for your sake.

... and pulling down on the stalk will run the wipers as long as you hold it. Release and the wipers stop. Say you want one swipe and no more, pull down once and release and you get one swipe of the wipers.
I haven't tried them since I picked up the car mid-September so I'll have to try them again and see what I did. I don't remember now. I read manuals but I may have read wrong, since the night I picked up the car I had to stop at three different hotels/motels late at night to find a room, and I'd gotten up at 3:00am to catch a flight halfway across the country that morning. Not to make excuses but I was beat and may well have goofed it. DUH!!! Thanks, again, one and all!!!
