C7 interior issues

I have a 2015 Stingray that I purchased new in May 2015. Since that time, the bezel on the left side of the driver's seat has popped loose from the seat twice, causing a warranty repair. I had the same issue with a 2001 C5 that I traded for this car and don't want this to continue with my C7. I'm trying to get Chevrolet involved, but they are trying to blow me off by ignoring me. This isn't an dealer issue - it has to be a design issue.
Thoughts?
*Bad installation?
*Something you are doing getting in and out of the car? (sometimes larger drivers put a lot of stress on side bottom bolsters during entry/exit)
*A screw hole stripped out and not holding the trim?
*Plastic trim actually breaking at the same spot?
FYI -- No problems in my 2014.
In any case, I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for GM to conduct an engineering push to solve a “loose seat trim” problem on a 3 year old car.

i am a big guy, but that’s no excuse for a $65k car to have a repetitive seat issue. This is the 9th GM product I’ve owned and the only cars it has happened to are my 01 C4 and my 15 C7.
As as I told Chevrolet - I’ve owned Japanese, German, and Ford (one pickup!) products. This has never happened to any of them except the Vettes. My 72 Vega didn’t have seat issues!

This will help help when I talk to Chevrolet. My concern has been escalated.

I guess I just wait for it to break a third time????
I can't believe how they insulate their offices from the dealerships and won't get involved with these issues.

Dont have to be "larger" (I'm about 175).
Pay attention to how you get in/out of the car.
If put most of your weight on the bolster in the process of entering/exiting, it will eventually break the plastic. Had the same problem on a 1985 Chrysler. I broke the seat frame itself at the joint where I put all my weight during entry/exit. The bolster support was part of the seat frame itself - shaped similar to this: /--\__.
Frame cracked at the lower rear joint : \__
Was well out of warranty, so a drill press, angle iron, and a couple bolts to fix it....
In my C5, broke the trim bezel where the front screw attaches the bezel to the frame. Started using that little hump at the rear of the door frame as a push off point...my full weight no longer transfers to the bolster/bezel, adn haven't had a problem since.
C7 doesnt have that hump. Getting out, I use one hand to the door sill to support my weight/push up,and the other hand on the A pillar to pull up so not much pressure on the bolster/trim.
Getting in, I use the steering wheel and A pillar to try to keep my weight off the bolster and bezel.

I’m a big guy, but I’ve owned several other sport sedans (Audi A6, Infiniti M35) and sports cars (two Datsun/Nissan Z cars) and never had this issue except with my C5 and C7 Corvettes. My C4 never had this issue. I didn’t have to perform acrobatics to get in and out of the other cars either.
Think about what is being inferred here. If you are a big person you can’t get in and out of this Chevrolet flagship car unless you plan on frequently replacing that part. That’s poor engineering. It’s inexcusable for a car with this price tag.
Chevrolet has been responding to me over the weekend. If I don’t get some satisfaction I’m planning a trip to Bowling Green. This was my retirement gift to myself. It isn’t supposed to be aggravating.

Good luck! Chevrolet considers this normal wear and tear and will not fix it when your warranty is up. I bought an extended warranty through them and they will not cover it. I replaced mine twice. If you look at the part, it is very poorly designed. It's a shame that a car this expensive has such cheap interior parts. I had my console cover replaced as well.
