Default A8 cam help please....

I'm in the process of putting a 416 stroker motor in my 2015,it has a supercharger, meth and headers and has plenty of power but you always want a little more.....looking for a cam that has some chop to it and stock drivability...called comp cams and they recommended the 624-524-13 cam they call it the middle of the road cam for the Gen 5 LT1 engine with the A8 and promise good drivability???...I had a cam in my Supercharged C6 with M6 and it sucked in the drivability compartment .....Anybody out there using cams with the A8??

Buddy give BTR a call his stage II cam is made for a auto car, will still be good with the stock converter also. Plus can add 100 rwhp over the stock cam with that being the only chg out.

Brian tooley is a vendor in here www.briantooleyracing.com

Very good street cam also...

The thing I've found over years (decades, actually) of dealing with performance engines/cams is that everyones "drivabilty" differs. I've had cams I hated and others thought were absolutely great. I'd try to, at the very least, find someone with the cam I was interested in and listen to it idle and at what rpm. Everything smooths out at speed!

I have a 2014 M7 with a Vengeance Racing Stage 2 cam (DoD delete). The car drives pretty much the same as before the cam, sounds wicked cool at idle, and provides a good chunk of powwa..

Check out Weapon X. They recently were advertising some cam packages in a thread and it broke out the cams into some varying categories...might find some good info in the thread

Duration at .050 and valve overlap will determine how "streetable" it will be. I would stay in the low 220's intake and low to mid 240's exh duration with no more than 1Deg overlap. With the right tune you will be happy, if you can get there with -2 or 3 degrees overlap all the better.
