That's what we like to hear!

Vararam doesn't sell traction, only Power and Real World Record setting performance!

We leave the" fluff and puff" to the other guys.

I understand the reason for the space on your intake, but wouldn't loosening the screws (that hold the stock shroud) that hold the stock air cleaner to the inner fender, allow it to have a space like your intake does, and receive some extra cold air?

No, it does not work the same. Tried it during testing 2 yrs ago.
Because your not raising the box higher the gap you would create does two things.

1. Sucks Hot air - because now its being blown in by the radiator fan.
2. Kills The internal aerodynamics - The volume increase kills the velocity because you don't have the rear aerodynamics to get it back.
Its the old see saw of a gain in volume one way , will result in a decrease in velocity the other.
Plus now your getting Hot Dirty air that can potentially screw up drivability.

Like I said before , All of the easy, simple cheap/free tricks were tried long ago.

Sorry, I bumped the wrong thread. Did you ever get around to testing that bms filter?

I am trying to get to the filter today ,along with some other important LT-1 items. My plan is to do it Bare @ 1.5 inches of water ( SAE for a bare orifice) , then installed inside of OEM and in a VR TCR-7.
All tests will be through the cylinder head @28 inches of water except for the first bare test @1.5 inches.

Sorry for delay on this but I had to finish up the 2017 5.3 Truck tests. That one was monumental +42 ft /lbs and 29 rear wheel HP, +1MPG!
most are only seeing 12-18 hp and about the same in torque. Most of their parts don't support the stock engine either. You would think they would get a clue at some point but they just keep putting out overpriced garbage that doesn't really do what it should. I prob shouldn't complain, it gives me something else to do! LOL!
It just ticks me off when they claim cold air and their parts work worse than factory stock parts. I see heat soak numbers 20-30 deg above the factory numbers !
The C-7, Camaro etc... are no different!

Default MAF Sensor

I am installing VR TCR-7 on my 2017 GS on tuesday. Looking forward to the gains on the C7 like the C6.....My question is would it help to have a MAF Sensor that is calibrated for a CAI, say a Granatelli Motorsports Performance Mass Airflow Sensor? would this help the performance or just a waste of money.

Thought maybe you had tested them or had an idea...

NO!
I promise you that "THEY" are not out there making/molding GM MAF sensors in house !
If they say they are , please ask to see the injection mold!

The OEM is the only sensor you should ever use. There is no "calibration" for a cold air intake. Its a simple part number alteration or private label request ,resulting in a HZ range change.
This is something any tuner is going to do anyway during a custom tune regardless of what sensor you are running.
Stay with the OEM sensor, you and your tuner (if you have it custom tuned) will thank us later for saving you much unwanted aggravation.

No problem.
If companies had to guarantee their performance claims or take their products back like we do , they would be out of Biz for selling garbage that doesn't work!
If people truly knew how much private label garbage there was out there from name brand companies , it would scare them to death.
Being a true manufacturer we see it everyday.

Don't forget the pics of the BLK worm clamps. We want to see what those look like in place.

VERY NICE !
Man that Vararam looks good in a White car!

Those clamps look wide. Wider than 5/8ths-3/4's , they look like 7/8ths but it could just be my eyes.

They are 5/8's and the worm itself is about 3" from the end of the band and I turned the worm to the bottom and that really cleaned up the look.....

Got a chance to try out the Vararam at the autocross. Definitely making more hp. Having to adjust my launch technique. Haven't had a chance to get a data log and update tune from Chuck Cow yet.

Had a brand new Porsche GT3 at the autocross, 39 miles! Had "knock off" wheels, one jesus nut in the middle that held wheel on, torque to 550 fl/lbs with special socket!

We Love to see Corvette owners using their Corvettes for what they were intended.
Glad your enjoying your new TCR-7 Intake . Hope you kicked some Porsche GT3 Butt or at least took a bite out of his ego!

WE are getting quotes on bulk production of these clamps vs producing our own custom manufactured clamps.

WE like the Black clamp look!

I have your cai installed. I would prefer the black also. Let me know when you have a sufficient supply and I will order a couple from you.
