Hi All, Hopeful the resident experts can give me some direction on this one. OEM battery was going and wouldn't keep a charge. Just replaced with a local auto store (match OEM spec) and after placement- I cannot get the car started, let alone to even unlock. I have running light when I unlock/lock on the FOB- but nothing on the dash, etc.. Just hours before with old battery, the car would turn over and I would have all electronics. All wires seem be tight and not broken around the battery and even replaced FOB battery. Any thoughts?
Thank you kindly in Advance!
- There is a small ground wire that comes off the negative battery clamp. There have been a couple threads that mention this wire is kind of short and easy to break off. Loss of this ground can cause problems.
- My other question is if you had the parts store load test the new battery - I have seen new batteries off the shelf fail load test.
- Have you checked voltage at the battery on both sides of the fuses? At the front fuse block?
Good luck - I also have a 2014 but have not yet had any battery issues...
