So you think the 4 C6 spiders and shafts are stronger than 4 C7 spiders and shafts?

No, the 4 c7 spiders are optimal, because they have the correct tooth profile for the side gears. More of the tooth is in contact at any given time

What I meant was that IF you are using c6 spiders, better to use 2 c6 pins and bush the carrier

Anyone find a part # or source for the C7z spider gears?
What about the improved 2019 spider gears?
thanks!

As of last week, no availability on c7 spiders or c7zr1 (all 2019) spiders to even compare.
I do have a 2-series carrier for sale as well as a complete 2.41 elsd removed from my car when I did this build on a 2.73 that I’m using now.

Are all of the C7 spiders the same?
I have a base model/auto/2.41 differential located locally for only $500, that i would like to use the spiders & cross-pin out of to do the 4-spider conversion on my 2016 c7z/a8.

At 750/760 RW, would it be advisable to change ratio to 2.73 or keep the 2.41, for 1/4 mile?

Thanks!

Update:
I ended up going with the RPM wavetrac & DSS stub axles, & DSS CV axles. I kept my 2.41 ELSD differential.
After I sent my differential to RPM, they ran out of DSS stub axles... because the machine that makes the axles at DSS was broken... my luck.
I ended up waiting 11 weeks before we could finally get the DSS stubs, and RPM could complete my differential and return it. I'm now in the process of putting it back together and should be up and running this week.
It's been a long hot summer, so it's not much fun drag racing in 100 degree weather here anyway.
