$350 Tune
My shop foreman says the techs at GM told him iff you are going to track the car you should retain the stock track setting and the upgraded track settings should be for people wanting to drag race their car as it gives better straight line stability. I interpret "linear" to mean that there is more direct (ie REDUCED) response to steering inputs at or near the limits. Recall that Randy Pobst in the second Car and Driver review of the ZO6/O7 said the car oversteers when driven near the limits.
The GM techs recommendation doesn't make sense:--if a GM engineer/hot shoe was able to get 1second off the previous best time in track mode at Milford, the car would have had to have the re-calibrated track mode as otherwise, the time would be ~ the same as previous best tries!
I certainly do not want to install the wrong version into my ZO6/O7.
Anyone installed already and/or have some opinions on which ZO6 track version of the software I should get-:left stock in track mode or re-calibrated? I will not drag it but will do some track work with it though it will mostly(95%+) be a street car.
Unless tracking hard in the dry season, the car rides on an extra set of OEM wheels mounted with the new Continental Extreme Contact Sports tires.
Thanks in advance
