Infotainment Warranty
Im new to the C7 forums... picked up a CPO 2014 Z51 2LT just before Thanksgiving and I love everything about it! I upgraded from a ‘98, so what’s not to love?!
Last night after getting home, I lowered the radio screen to get to the compartment. When I raised it again, only half of the screen was on, and that half was flickering. It’s lost touch input before, but never gone half dark. From what I’ve read, there were a lot of issues with the ‘14 Infotainment screens doing this type of thing. I would think being a CPO car, this type of thing would be dealt with, but then again, the dealer had to fix a broken power seat switch on the RH seat that “wasn’t a problem until the week I bought it”.
Any advise on what I can do? The car is still under warranty, but my dealer doesn’t seem all too keen on fixing it.
Thanks!

I think the infotainment system is covered by CPO, but I don't have the text of the warranty in front of me to be sure.

For some reason, dealers always seem to be very hesitant with warranty stuff.... it was the same with my Toyota when it was still under warranty. My wife is encouraging me to send an email to the service manager at the first dealer. I hate admitting when she’s right!!!
Thanks for the replies to what seemed like a dumb question!!!
so ive taken my car to another dealer who is more than happy to work on it... warranty or not! They quickly determined that my Infotainment screen was defective, but told me my car wasn’t under warranty. You can imagine my surprise as the car is CPO and I’ve had it less than a month! I reached out to the stealership where I purchased the car. They were less than helpful (no shocker there).... so I called the Chevrolet Owner Center. My CPO paperwork was never submitted to Chevy!!! They resolved the issue with the dealer within a week and voila!.... my car is covered and my screen is replaced! Moral of the story, don’t be afraid to reach up to GM for help.... even if you think no good will come of it, like I thought ;-)
