Hi. I am building a C7 Z06 to take to Bonneville next year. Target is 320mph with a twin turbo LSX. Current 6070 seven speed trans doesn't seem to have any after market support in terms of gearkits, sequential shifters etc. I would love to be proven wrong if anyone knows of anything?
My current thinking is to convert the car to the TR6060 out of the C6 so I can use a Pfitzner gear kit available out of Australia. Many different ratios available from them. Some initial investigations have shown that the 6060 is around 45mm shorter than the 6070, makes sense. Does anyone know of anyone who has done this conversion or somebody that I could talk to that would know if there is an easier way to go about this project?
As a LSR myself (30 years), and after our experience this year, I would be more concerned that I have anything on which to run such speed!!! Best of luck.
I cam across this a while back where Pumba did the exact opposite of what you are planning to do, he put a TR6070 in a C5. It is a very informative write up with a lot of info, hopefully it can help you out a bit with the dimensional differences.
