Default Flex fuel?

i was wondering if I could use a flex fuel sensor with e 85 and use a handheld programmer to change the tune back to 93 when I’m not racing. E85 is not available in my area and I would have to haul the e 85. I do have the Z06 fuel pump with 11.5 psi on a vortec blower. Making 671 616

The flex fuel sensor and tune does the work. It senses the Octane. No need to do anything. It’s all automated.

Thats the whole point of "flex" fuel, it automatically adjust. Now if you didn't run a sensor, and had an e85 tune and a 91-93 tune, then you have to swap, but with flex fuel the sensor reads from 0-100% and automatically adjust fueling and timing for the ethanol content.

Yep. It's a mother beautiful thing, baby!

And now that we *know* the stock LT1/L86 fuel system can handle E85, it's really odd that this wasn't enabled at the factory like the L83 V-8 & the V-6. There's still docs on the interweb showing the L86 was flex fuel back when they first announced the Gen5.

It is all relative to your mods. Given what you have done, probably E60 or so would be my estimate..
