Default Race Fuels and how they compare to each other for power (E85, C85, & Meth included!)

While surfing YouTube I found a series of video's done by The Tuning School which does a fantastic job of comparing different race fuels, showing the power they got from each, as well as some good explanation of the pros and cons of each. One of the best nuggets is the last video where they test C85 + 100% meth which confirms that it generates more power than every other fuel combination combined. (C85 is basically E85 with a guaranteed content level of about 70%)

What's even better is this series was all done on a supercharged C7 so it's a real world comparison for us!

The video series is below.

1. Racing Fuels: Which Fuel makes the most power?

2. Racing Fuels: Octane Booster Makes Big HP Gains on Load bearing Dyno

3. Racing Fuels: VP Racing Fuels MS103 Dyno results- How much power did we make?

4. Racing Fuels: VP Racing Fuels C9 Dyno Results- How much more HP vs 93 Octane?

5. Racing Fuels: E85 vs MS103 Dyno Champ

6. Racing Fuels: C85 vs pump E85: Which fuel makes more power on the dyno?

7. Race Fuels: MS109 vs C85 Which fuel makes more power on the Dynamometer?

8. Race Fuels: C16 vs C85 Which makes more power on our Dyno?

9. Racing Fuels: Water Injection plus 93 Octane What kind of Power does that make?

10. Race Fuels: Boost Juice Injection How much power can it make over 93 octane?

11. Race Fuels: Injection testing straight Methanol-How much power did it make on our Dyno?

12. Race Fuels: Top Race Fuels plus Meth Injection

Hope you found it as interesting as I did!

I for one would like to try the C9 in my Z06. Problem is I tried looking on the VP web page for a local dealer and there are none in my area.
I'd travel 100 miles to buy it.
Having it shipped is cost prohibitive when the Haz Mat is added to the costs.
So it looks like Boostane is the next best thing.
No E85 in my area that I'm aware of either.

I’ve used C85 and still have some on stand by and like it. Our E85 out of the pump up here is pretty good anyway so I don’t have to break it out. They make a X98 I’m gonna try in the spring/summer.

I’ve used C16, Fuse 116, Shell URT, Sunoco 104 but E85 is by far my favorite.

*Edit*

Watched those videos. Cool to see them do the e85/meth test. I’ve been running that combo for over two years and wouldn’t go back to running anything else.
