Bottom Line Carbotech 1521s have 85+% less dust. What dust is present does not pit wheels. I clean the wheels when I wash the car!
I find they stop even better than the OEM pads when cold. Warm pad performance was equal to OEM pads.
Compared to Hawk, another quality pad they have more linear modulation not off-on like some racing pads.
My '14 is car #14,xxx, mid-year of the run, I believe. Any idea if the tape-phase was done by then? If the pad tape does exist, once removed, will I need to re-apply new tape to fill the gap left by the old stuff?

Probably have tape. No need to re-apply look at Jerry u PDF he posted above no issues.

No. The tape is very thin! If you have it you'll know as the pads will not come out. See link in post #3 on what I used to get them out.
