This is a PDF of my experiences in my 2014 Z51 and Grand Sport: http://netwelding.com/Ceramic_Pads.pdf

Bottom Line Carbotech 1521s have 85+% less dust. What dust is present does not pit wheels. I clean the wheels when I wash the car!

I find they stop even better than the OEM pads when cold. Warm pad performance was equal to OEM pads.
Compared to Hawk, another quality pad they have more linear modulation not off-on like some racing pads.

My '14 is car #14,xxx, mid-year of the run, I believe. Any idea if the tape-phase was done by then? If the pad tape does exist, once removed, will I need to re-apply new tape to fill the gap left by the old stuff?

No. The tape is very thin! If you have it you'll know as the pads will not come out. See link in post #3 on what I used to get them out.

Happy to announce that '14 Stingray Z51 car #14318 has NO TAPE on the front pads. Like pressing the easy button!
