Picked up my '18 GS new a week ago and 200 miles on the clock. Noticed the other day that when in gear (automatic) and not moving (foot on the brake in gear) the interior passenger door panel makes an annoying buzzing sound. When I apply pressure towards the outside of the car to the area below the pull handle the noise goes away. Soon as a release pressure the buzz sound comes back. The noise is not noticable when in park. I have not removed the panel yet, waiting on some experienced feedback.
Anyone here experience this issue and what was the diagnosis and fix?
Thanks Ron. The article did give me a little bit of insight for a possible cause. I will have to turn the radio up and see it I can duplicate the issue. Would you happen to have schematics/service info or a reference on the interior passenger door skin removal? Only 200 miles and I don't want to damage a clip or bracket if at all possible.
I will probably post the issue and repair on my YouTube channel.
Here's the door panel removal guides. There is a LOT of good information up in the "sticky threads" section of C7 General Info for your browsing pleasure.
