Will a supercharger void my warranty?

Thanks
Thanks. Im looking at a new vette and it has one on it. The car has 5000 miles and Im not sure if I want to invest this much money and not have any warranty. Thanks for the info

GM voids warranties for catch cans and air intakes. This one is a no brainer. You're on your own if something breaks in that power train.

my rule is generally don't buy modded cars - you could be buying someone elses headcache...unless theres tons of paperwork on professional install, tune and such.
im all for modding them myself though

Is it a dealer car? Make them give you a longer warranty, or make your offer based on no warranty.

Voiding the warranty is such a generic term.
Will you get a full warranty block for a supercharger, no. Will you lose your powertrain warranty, I'd think so. But any other non-powertrain warranty work should be covered regardless.

I have an Edelbrock E Force supercharger on my vette. Yes it voids the factory. Edelbrock supplies a 3year 36k mile full drive train warrenty. The warrenty starts from the date the car was built not from the time the supercharger was installed.
I agree with Lt1 Z51 that the non drive train parts would still be covered by the factory warrenty.

I don't think the Edelbrock warranty is transferable.

Add-on warranties are a big money maker for dealers. They may have a warranty you can buy that will cover it. GM won't.

Used high performance/sports cars are always something of a risk... unless you personally know the owner and their habits. Highly modified ones even more so. Due diligence!!!
