Default Laptop recommendation for C-7 PDR use.

I have been a Mac guy for quite awhile and Cosworth Toolbox apparently likes a PC. I am looking at refurbished laptops on eBay. The laptop will primarily be used for the PDR information. Would one of you tech-savvy guys (or girls...sorry) mind taking a look at eBay and recommend the best under $250 laptop for the Cosworth information? Any other good sources?
Thanks for your help!

What about using Bootcamp or Parallels to run Windows on your Mac?

Thanks Todd,
I think it makes more sense to me to have a laptop so we can compare recordings at the track. My wife and I both autocross so the comparisons on site should be valuable.
Checked BestBuy, recommendation was 8GB or more & Windows 10. Found a refurbished Dell for $200 on ebay w/ 30 day guarantee. Any thoughts?
BTW, I'm 74 and my wife is 71, and we are still serious autocrossers, frequently win our respective classes. Life is good! Bob

You can find new low-end Dells,HP,Acer for about $250 or so that will suit your purpose.

Buying used electronics is something I just would not recommend.

Do a Craigslist search and set he max price at $150 or so. You'd be surprised at some of the laptops that turn up on there for less than that.

You want something with the latest software, a reasonably fast CPU, 500GB hard drive (video files eat up a fair amount of storage). I can play the videos on my Surface Pro 3 with Win 10 Pro OS and on my much 6 year old Toshiba Qosmio with Win 10 Pro. Both have variations of the i7 processor with the Surface Pro 3 having a 512 GB drive and the Qosmio having 1.25 TB separated between two hard drives.

For the same price as a old antiquated Windows PC you can buy a Fusion VM license ($80) for your macbook and run windows in a VM on the Mac. That is how I do all my tuning with HPTuners.
