Default New Stingray & new CEL

Only thing that's not stock mechanically is a fuse 42 pull & borla x pipe.
I wonder which has caused the CEL.

Pulling the fuse should not cause a CEL.It didn't on my '17.

that's what I've heard, but also heard the borla x pipe shouldn't throw one either, but one of them did.
I also just added a ported throttle body(after the cel) & wonder what else I have to do in order to get rid of the crappy 600-1,000 rpm dead spot where all it does is suck air,had hoped the tb would fix that but not yet(maybe the ecm needs time to adj idk)

This is why I gotta stop dicking around with this car!!!! I don’t have a cel but I know I’m playing with fire!!! I still have 3 yrs powertrain,if I lose that and something happens I’m screwed cuz I’m not made of money that’s for sure!!! Why can’t I just be happy and enjoy the hell out of this awesome ride!!!!

I am almost 100% sure this CEL was thrown by a possible lose connection with the x pipe.
Thought I would try to verify that as alot on here have this mod & have pulled the fuse, but thx for your .02 anyway.
It's been raining all week & I'm not crawling under this car or driving it in the rain just to put it on a lift to verify this.
However I figured I could ease my mind by talking with someone else who may have experienced this 😎
These are simple mods & my dealers mod friendly,he already knows I'm going to build the snot out of this thing & ultimately boost it,you know so I can really enjoy it.

Like you told me in a message it the new x pipe is sucking air more than not it is that for sure & causing the died spot in those RPM ranges.

Need to get the car back up in the air & get those bolts & those crap of donuts back up together so it is not sucking air. If I don't go out of town this weekend after you get off of work & it is not raining call me.

I will have the 57 off the 4 post & we can do it then up to you buddy.

Good news,just an update.
Although the borla x pipe was installed with an impact it was not near tight enough & the CEL is clear & the car is running great!!!!Happy Days are here again 😁
Just one issue, while the car was on the lift we tried to lower the car,but couldn't get all bolts to back all the way out, primarily the drivers side front as the rubber bushing would just turn no matter how we took pressure off of the spring & although it looks better than it did,the drivers side is slightly higher than the passengers in the front.
They sure do make this procedure look easy in the videos lol.
My self ported throttle body is performing quite well I may add & i'm really starting to fall back in love with this car again.
