How much did you guys pay to get your exhaust installed?

How long does it take to install?

My chevy dealer asking $350.

Default ttt

I did mine my self worse thing is having to pull the lower bumper piece. But then again after all I have done to my car that is a piece of cake. I sure wouldn't pay thing If you were closer to me I would do it for 300.00 Just kidding man would help for nothing NEVER DOING IT BEFORE SHOULD TAKE YOU ABOUT 3 HOURS. Really look in here at the DIY on pulling the lower bumper piece off around the exhaust tips. Then look at pulling the mufflers part of the exhaust off it is cut & dry on the job... Robert

If it's a 3 hour job, then $350 sounds fair to me.

Anybody else wants to chime in?

I know alot of you do it yourself. I just don't have time or the resources/knowledge to do it.

If it's 2 hours, I think $300-320 is what should be charged at the dealer.

Oh well. I'll ask them to do it for $300. Hopefully they agree

Chevy dealer quoted me 3 hours for my catback install. After taxes, etc is was just under 400. I thought it was a little high but they wanted to fully remove the rear bumper facia so they do not risk cracking or damaging it while putting the exhaust in place. I was willing to pay since they have a really good corvette tech that does the work.

Agreed. It took me about 3 but I was also on a work call the whole day, and spent time changing the diff fluid haha.

Not at all a bad install.

Please don't tell him that he is OCD plus that left one looks a little longer The Borla stuff is 100% top notch, Plus if you look the bottom part of those mufflers I worked on them a few hours just polishing them when that system was on my car. Now he will be out under the car relooking at that one pipe tonight are when he see this post again. Robert

Great quality. I always go borla whether its headers, xpipes or mufflers.

Im very happy with the borla exhaust and xpipe for the vette. However the NPP performance exhaust for our cars is made by Borla according the my local chevy manager.

So the Ataks are somewhat louder and deeper than the NPP, but not by a lot.

Still very happy. It's very very deep at Idle, which i love.

Can this be done on ramps, jack stands etc (i.e. how much height is needed to snake the stock exhaust out?

As long as you can get under the car you can do it with the car fully on jack stands for sure. Robert

Does it sound kind of my Borla ATAK at idle? My favorite--at WOT sounds like a NASCAR.

Somehow I missed these posts!

That was an odd angle camera pic, but YES I did go under there with the digital calipers and made sure they are 100% exact (they were off a hair).

I don't think I would've noticed, but THANK YOU for pointing it out (and Robert, you are 1,000% right lol, I am OCD insane).
