procharger p1x, and very happy. turbos are more of a complex install, and will add extra heat in the engine compartment.

Turbos will be nice plus only way to go true racing. But on a stock short block what rwhp are you looking to be at. STOCK fuel set up with no meth go with a A/A small blower no meth will put you about safe 550 rwhp all on stock fuel set up. Much over that if you are looking to get then.
A/A TI head unit with meth & will have to keep that under 700 but also at that level meth & if you have any weak pistons r valve spring you will blow it up.. Safe at about 650 with meth...

I am running A/A TI with a 3;40 pulley with meth now... Just like Andy due to all his willing to help a person. Robert

We always ask what are your ultimate horsepower goals for the vehicle and what it will manly be used for. Roots style 2300 blowers like the Eforce and Magnuson are great for street cars. They maintain excellent drivability, aren't very loud and make tons of torque too. You can generally bolt these guys on and make around 525-550 to the wheels right out of the box. Any more power and you'll need a few upgrades such as a high side fuel pump upgrade and maybe long tubes to keep the boost numbers down a bit. Meth is another great option if you have a local tuner willing to work with it.
Turbos are great but they get expensive. You can easily max your cars fuel system out with the blower so If you aren't looking to break records and put down really big power we would recommend sticking with a blower.

Ah, but I bet that's not really what you want. I bet you want massive torque that slams you back in the seat right from the light.

Or do you really want a peaky motor with a centrifugal blower that rolls away leisurely until the RPMs come up and then it makes a bajillion horsepower at high RPM only?

So "highest HP available" sounds good, but what do you want it to DRIVE like?

How you want it to DRIVE makes a huge difference in what kind of blower you want. If you're drag racing, F1X for example. If you're road coursing, maybe a TVS-2300. But we have to know how you're going to use it to recommend the best approach.

And if street-strip means "Street but I might run down the quarter once or twice a year", that's really street, so you don't want an annoying cam on the drive to work, etc.

With a A/A TI head unit set up & can do that but it will have to have METH just for the octane to keep it going with the stock short block. No way without the meth.

THIS IS WHAT I AM RUNNING love the car will keep this like it is until; something goes wrong. Then will do a forged short block with ported stock heads & small cam...

To me don't like a top loader blower it runs out of wind in low RPM range & then you are out of the race. But if you like all the power coming in way down low & just burning the tires off the car from red light to red light. Then that is what you need to get have to paddle the dam thing to much as it out of the hole. Robert

If you are looking for around 700hp at the crank you can do that pretty easily. But you're going to need some supporting mods to go with any supercharger.

From there we would recommend a set of long tubes, a pulley and the LT4 high side fuel pump.

Default Centri vs Top mount

So top mount is better for the street and centri is better for the drag strip?

Are centris hard to pilot?

Top mount I wouldn't put on a corvette at all. They just dont work as good as they do on the mustang & other cars. Plus again I dont like them due to they have all the power band at 1600 to 2400 rpm & then you are shot per say. If you are looking for a tire burner yes they are better for that. Robert

About to pull the trigger myself and done months of homework and research and questions. One thing I have found is wanting to jump from 750rwhp~ to the next level = BIG$$. If you are good with 750 or less I would say Maggy 2.3. You can use stock fuel, cam, headers, etc. and remain pretty safe with proper tune. Going procharger why spend $9k for 750rwhp unless you have big plans later. Anything getting above that mark you need fuel system upgrades, cam with 32% above factory fuel lobe, long tubes, meth, it starts getting expensive fast unless you can do the install yourself, which is is my path. That's how I was able to keep it within $12-13k with ProCharger or even if you decide 2.9 whipple. Pay to play for sure...

Strange response as the last two z cars from Chevy have positive displacement blowers.

Guess again!

Here's a 2300 not quite like described! Works great!
Near 800 crank HP! Pump gas, no fuel mod, no meth no high e fuels!

All 3 of the main centri kits out there right now are great as far as I know. But I have to plug the ECS kit I am running because it works great, and meets a lot of your criteria. It was also very easy (though time consuming) to install myself.

The base ECS 1500 kit with a set of headers will net 600whp easily. But you need more fuel, like an lt4 hpfp. Add meth instead, and you are happily at 650whp. Past 650whp on the stock LT1 bottom end and you are asking for blown pistons.

My ECS setup (supercharger, headers, lt4 hpfp, no meth) has an insanely flat power curve. It hits 450ftlbs of torque at the wheels at 2300rpm. Then grows steadily to 580ftlbs. It just pulls like crazy through the whole rpm range and is quite easy to manage with the cars traction control and stability management active as well.
