In the center of this picture for the C7 brake duct cooling are two small parts. What are they? The are not discussed in the installation instructions.
It has been a while since I added my ducts but I think that picture is missing a few parts. The two bottom parts fasten to the lower control arm and are air deflectors. The two upper parts are the pieces that go from the collector box wrapped around the lower control arm up to the back of the rotor. The two collector boxes are assembled from 4 pieces which are different depending on whether you are on the right side or the left side of the car (there are no instructions indicating which is which). The collector box wraps around the lca and has upper and lower openings with an air foil like separator between the two sections. The upper opening is sort of inline with the brake duct that comes from the front bumper while the lower opening collects air that is flowing under the front of the car. The two small pieces may be from the old air deflecting system that had two small air deflectors above the large deflectors that are mounted very close to the rotor. They sort of wrap around the tie rod end. I left mine on the car but wonder if they are actually blocking the air flowing out of the duct toward the rotor. When the car is up with the wheels off the ground the outlet of the duct coming from the collector box hits the small deflector as the steering is turned.

Bill, ops picture is the z51 or 2015-2016 bumper ducts. Not the additional 2017-2019 z06 ducts. You're correct about the small pieces. I also left mine on and inspected them next time I took the wheels off. No problems.
OP if you're looking for the upgraded add on ducts. That's Thats not it.
