Only thing i can think of is make sure it isnt in valet mode.
I did not touch that. Could valet be set without a code.
I put my phone in there when i got home went to open And would not open. Could I have set it in error
Well, if it shifted to the rear to block the door, you might want to drive the car slowly and hit the brakes hard a few times to see if you can force it forward to let the door open?? Just guessing on this as a procedure if the phone is blocking the door?

it tries to open but seems to be block the phone I think
If your phone is blocking it, see if you can thread a piece of wire into the top enough to move he phone a little. I've heard some have had success with it.

If you have an M7 make sure it isn't in reverse. Even with the car turned off, the screen won't open with the transmission in reverse.
With the number of threads I've seen like this it would seem there would be SOME sort of manual fail-safe/over-ride. Reminds me yet again why I ignore it exists. Best of luck with it!
Does it open at all? Is there any way to get a coat hangar wire in the cubby? If you are completely stumped, you might need to take the dash apart to get into the cubby. It can be done using many videos of how to take the dash apart but it's time consuming. If you get the dealer involved, it's lots of labor hours (big bucks) to get in to the cubby.
