Default Burnouts

Does anyone know why a 2014 Z51 will not do a burnout when the traction control is off in a automatic....the shut on and off goes on and won't alow burnout...

Are you just pressing the button once or holding the button for 8 seconds to fully turn off traction and stability control?

I just want to know what track within an hour of Milton Florida you're using to do your burnouts?

That's terrific, when I lived there full time, the closest track was an 1/8th mile track in Atmore. We were just visiting with friends across the causeway from UWF a couple weeks back and drove in on I-10. Never realized the Emerald Coast Dragway was there.

In the early 80's the local Corvette club, MSCC, had the timing equipment and we had the use of Bronson field 1 weekend each month, so I suggested we set up a 1/4 mile and 1/8th mile course to drag race. Almost no one in the club was interested but I assured them we could make some money to upgrade our equipment so they reluctantly agreed. We had more than 100 cars show up to run at $5 a car.

We also did autocross's there a few times a year but never made any money, so after we made $500 on the first drag race the game was on. We couldn't run side by side for insurance reasons, but it sure beat an hours drive to Atmore.

Good luck... GUSTO

Pressing once should allow a straight line burnout. It worked in my GS.

Hold the button down to fully turn off TC and stability control and you shouldn't have any issues.

Haha thanks. I'm still working out some kinks in the tuning, but so far I have a 10.4 with 137mph traps. Pretty decent for a manual, but I'm working on getting a single digit pass here this summer. On a 1.61 60' that pass was.
