Default Please, I need help with Hawk Brake Pad Part #

I just bought a new 2019 GS and want to replace the dusty brake pads with new ones. I have decided to go with the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads. The only problem is I am getting two different part numbers from different stores. I have tried to call Hawk but they never answer or call back. Here are the two different numbers I have,

Front- HB631Z.622 or HB649Z.605
Rear- HB683Z.651 or HB727Z.592

Note I got from Hawk about a year ago.

Glad to hear they worked out great for your Z06. Believe it or not, same exact part numbers.

Front –HB649Z.605

Rear- HB727Z.592

The Grand Sport has the same calipers, just slightly smaller rotors.

I have called hawk for 4 straight days and have left 3 messages with no call back. So maybe I'm thinking their customer service lacks and I should go to a different brand. What does everyone think about the Powerstop Z26 Extreme Performance compared to the Hawk?

For a high quality low dust aftermarket pad I recommend the Carbotech 1521 pad 100% made in the USA. A low dust pad that is rotor friendly and performs like OEM and last longer. 100% non-corrosive dust will not harm your paint or wheels. This pad also contains NRS technology. Carbotech uses NRS technology on all C4, C5, C6 & C7 front and rear brake pads. Here is a link to explain further what NRS technology is exactly: https://www.nrsbrakes.com/about/

If interested I will be happy to help you out or you can order online here

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

Hawk sells through dealers and online stores so that is probably why.

The numbers are listed correctly above.

Scott.. did you put the Hawks on your GS. I just completed my install and with the new pads I can hear them when they touch the rotors. I am wondering if this is normal and if you experienced the same with your new set. I am thinking after a few miles this might go away. Let me know if you would.. Thanks.. /Rich
