Infotainment system problems, is this common?
Base 16, I'm coming to the end of 3/36: infotainment ctr went blank and fixed a year ago, lost that and the DIC briefly morning after 5 hr trip, both came back up after after driving/parked several hours. Have an appointment at dlr scheduled.
How common are these display problems, search doesn't bring up many threads? Makes me wonder about extended warranty coverage.

Her is a GM tech bulletin that address a similar issue, dealer should be aware of the problem as it address the entire GM car line with the problem.

I have four and half months left on my 3 year/36 warranty (2016 2LT coupe). My infotainment system failed. Shut the car off and it was working fine after a 175 mile trip. Got back in, started the car and nothing. I have no front or rear cameras, and my On Star will not function either. The screen will retract, but other than that nothing. I just dropped the car at Bud's Chevrolet in St. Mary's OH. They are supposed to run diagnostics on Monday. I will try to update as to what I find out.
