Default Issue with dealer oil change

This morning I took my car in for an oil change. Ran into another C7 owner who was doing the same and we happened to check out at the same time. Both of us are Z51 dry sumps...but he was charged for 10 qts and I was only charged for 8. They tried a few lame explanations, but in the end, the oil is good on the stick. I'm assuming the only explanation for this is they didn't get all the oil out or they can't count to 10. Anything to be concerned with?

18 quarts for 2 changes is about right, I bet he got charged for a partial bottle, and you got the remainder of that partial bottle for free

My guess is his dipstick is at the max mark, and yours is about midway between min & max (which is where I like to keep mine).

Full to the top marker on the dipstick takes 9.8 quarts of oil. It is easy to get to. Drain oil from both drain plugs. Tighten drain plugs put in 9 quarts and then use the container markings to add another 26 ounces of oil from the 10th quart.
