C7 Key Fob relearn
Long story short, I was in germany and my inlaw took off with my key ring by accident on the day i was flying out. Itll be a few weeks before i can get my keys back and my spare is apparently not paired with the car?
I never tried it when i got the car and i assume the battery was dead, so i got at new battery. Still didnt work. Then try to go and open it from the trunk hole and it set the mf alarm off (did open the car though).
I was reading the process on how to pair a fob if you dont have one already paired with you and it seems straight forward, but uhhh how am I supposed to do this if the damn alarm is going off the whole time. My neighbors arent going to appreciate 30 minutes of alarm...

Why was the spare not paired to the car? DId you receive it new with the car? If it is the original part of the pair, it should have been fine. Pull the damn fuse on the horn!

Also, try another "NEW" battery in the FOB. It has been the case that a "New" battery came out of the package as bad.

Extremely unlikely that if you bought the car new, that one of the fobs wasn't programmed.
New fob battery, and make sure its installed the right side up.
