I may just have to get that Callaway as a winter project then!
I love mine. It increases the force necessary to shift but for me, especially on track, it just works. The combination of that the the Tmod box completely changes the feel.
I'm selling the complete, stock Ls1 out of my 99 FRC, it's got 69K miles on it, currently in the car, runs great. I built a 383 that I'll be swapping in. Shifters and Shifter Boxes are in stock as well, get yours today!
I know this is an older thread.. But.. Why would a guy spend $390 on a Callaway then another $145 on the TMOD, when you can get the MGW with everything for $365?

Seriously? I spend more than that on fuel and tires every track day. It's better and it works. My question would be why would you spend 90k on a car and then live with a shifter that wasn't up to the task.

Why buy a Corvette when you can get a Camaro for cheaper?
Seriously though, it's because the TMOD is the superior engineered product. Nothing says you have to add the Callaway shifter in addition to the TMOD box either (I haven't).

I got the Callaway first and then added the TMOD. With his new shifter bushing and the tight box I might have stopped there. Still haven't removed the Callaway to put the "tighter" bushing in the shifter. Getting lazy in my old age...

I'm using his box with the ZIP Corvette polyurethane shifter bushings that were my first shifter mod on this car. I have his new cup bushings somewhere... I moved cross-country (South Dakota back to Texas) between ordering and now so it was packed up by the movers and we're not yet in our new house. Once we are, and I come across it, I plan to get it installed! Hopefully I can find my jar of Mobil 1 grease too

Let me know how much it helps. I've got mine in the top of the tool box and need some motivation.

It won't be until at least October or later, unfortunately. Realistically, sometime over the winter is most likely. I wanted to get it done before the move, but just ran out of time and next thing I knew we got the house sold and the vehicle transporter arrived!

Life interferes with plans. I ordered construction on a 60 x 60 garage with lift, etc last December. Have 12 x 12 doors. With Covid I'm wishing I'd gone with 14' doors so I could get a motorhome for track days. Still sidelined with lung issues so may not even get on the track this year. Man plans, God laughs.

Don't be an ***! You people act like everyone that has a Corvette is rolling in cash.. Not the case. And what task is the stock shifter not up to? Tracking it? You people must beat the **** out of your car.. I feel sorry for the guy that buys it next.
