Default [VR] Vengeance Racing Stage IV C7 with ECS Supercharger makes 624rwhp!

We recently had a client from Maryland contact us looking to add some performance upgrades to his C7 Grand Sport. His goals for the build were to not only improve performance well beyond Z06 levels, but also improve under-hood aesthetics as the car would spend quite a bit of time at his local car shows and cruise-ins. After talking over some different options we put together an awesome build list that met his needs. For this build we decided on our Stage IV Supercharger Package along with a couple of additional options that would really set off this GS. This build featured:

· ECS Novi 1500 Supercharger system

· Vengeance Racing CNC Ported LT1 Cylinder Heads

· Vengeance Racing Cam Kit Plus with Stage II Camshaft

· American Racing 1-7/8” Longtube Header system with off-road x-pipe

· Vengeance Racing C7 Catch Can System

· Corsa Xtreme Axle-back exhaust

· Vengeance Racing powdercoated/Engraved valve covers with coil relocation

Our Stage IV supercharged package provides parts from the highest quality manufacturers in the industry to maximize performance in the LT1 powered C7 Corvettes while still retaining excellent drivability, reliability, and most of all safe power on pump gas. The main component in this package to provide power is the ECS Novi 1500 supercharger system which was ordered in the black finish per our customer’s request. This self-contained unit can make power upwards of 800+rwhp and makes for a very easy supercharger to maintain over time for the common enthusiast.

This supercharger coupled with the other modifications provided in our package is a perfect option for a daily driven C7. For the engine and valvetrain, we left the bottom end alone knowing that power levels were not going to get too extreme on this combination, and installed our CNC ported LT1 cylinder heads along with our full Cam Kit Plus. The Cam Kit Plus package for the LT1 features all of the items we recommend to support a more aggressive camshaft profile in these engines such as BTR dual valve springs, hardened pushrods, LS7 lifters, bushing trunnion upgrade, C5R timing chain, and more. We re-seal the engine with GM OEM gaskets and engine sealant to ensure that this LT1 is ready for many miles of use. The camshaft used in this combination was our Stage II LT1 profile which still offers a nice lope at idle but retains a bit more of the low-mid range power band as well as easier drivability than our Stage III in low speeds making for a very street friendly camshaft.

For the exhaust side of the build, we changed everything per the customer’s request to an American Racing 1-7/8” longtube header, off-road x-pipe, and mated to a Corsa Xtreme axle-back system with their black tips. Lastly we installed our catch can kit for the C7 to improve PCV, as well as our valve covers and coil pack relocation that we install exclusively here in house to clean up the engine bay and really highlight the work done here.

With the install complete it was time once again to head over to our Dynojet Chassis dyno. With this combination Erin’s Grand Sport laid down an impressive 624rwhp and 607rwtq on a very moderate boost level. With the build wrapped up our customer flew to our facility to pick up his car and made the 12 hour trip back home to Maryland where he is enjoying the car through the rest of the season!

Bump for the experts at Vengeance Racing. I had a great experience with them doing some cooling upgrades and tuning my car earlier this week. It was worth the 4 hour drive to know it was done right by the top LS/LT shop in the south. Great customer service to. Thank you David and all of the guys at VR.

Thank you for the kind words sir. We thank you for making the drive over from Alabama in your Z06.

I am glad you and your wife had a great time here in Georgia while waiting for the modifications to be complete.

We certainly enjoyed working with you.

Let us know when you are ready for the next round of modifications.

We look forward to working with you again.

regards,

David @ Vengeance
