Sound/heat deadening for MGW Short shifter
I purchased a used MGW Shifter that didn't include the sound deadening. I see MGW sells this -- does anyone know how many of the 10x10 sheets I need to buy?

I have a 17 and there wasn't much area where I could install the sound deadening. It was supposed to go on the torque tube but that was already covered (OEM).

There is plenty of room for thermal barrier. Some pics from install around shifter tunnel. I have MGW shifter as well. Pics dont show it, but thermal barrier goes under factory white cloth and sound deadening added to side wall of tunnel at "seat" area under thermal barrier. This section of sheet metal is quite thin.

Like I said before, the instructions must be for an earlier C7 as my 2017's torque tube already had sound absorber installed on it from GM. Only a smaller piece of the damper can be installed.

Kinda of amazing how it seems the rubber boot/noise deadener around the shifter hasn't changed since at least the C5
