Default Intercooler System - Z06 LT4 Supercharged

Hi,

Planning to install a supercharged LT4 Engine out of a 2016 Z06 on a 64 Corvette, or maybe on a 69 Camaro. I’m missing the supercharger intercooler system. I know the system has a pump, bottle and a radiator. And one knows who sells intercooler system. I tried the search for stock Z06 intercooler system but couldn’t find any! I might be missing a word here or there!!

thanks

Edelbrock sells most of what you need if you want to make it easy. (reservoir, pump, pully adapters...)
Otherwise you can "build your own" using whatever.
There are a lot of dual pass heat exchangers to choose from for the intercooler circuit.
Obviously you will want to pick a HX that fits in your car and does not block airflow to the engine/oil cooling circuits... like a C7 Z06 does for example. lol!

I believe on my swap we used (or was included) a GM LSA intercooler pump, part #22901367. Then you just need to plumb it to a reservoir, and heat exchanger that fits your application.

You'd have to source the pump but I know we have intercoolers and I think we pulled the reservoir out of our full out road race build back in December. Let me know if you want me to check for you.

Do yourself a favor and get an aftermarket heat exchanger like Weapon-X, Cordes or CPR. The stock one is small and terribly inefficient.

Thanks, but this pump won’t work for an LT4

It would be great if you would help me on the HX, I would need a cooler with very high duty, temperatures can get up to 130 Deg.F., I’m sourcing the pump from www.gmpartsoutlet.net (part #23378046). I would need cooler and reservoir.

I was going off memory. I'll pull the part number off mine this weekend.

Thanks for the feedback. I checked with edlbrock and the seem to carry a universal system that only works for their own supercharger. I was told that their puno and HD duty does not handle LT4 Supercharger and they referred me to Lingenfelter, they recommended their Stewart pump which is out of stock.

thanks

Can you post a picture or email one of your set up to Dane@lgmotorsports.com. I just checked with the tech that does R&D and we have a full system pump and all but we also have our dual intercooler system that is more efficient so I need to see what kind of space you are working with.

Thanks!
