Default MTI cam results!!

We just finished up installing one our custom grind cam kits. The car came to us with headers and a cold air intake already. The results are pretty good if you ask me. The is a M7 car with Kooks headers, Halltech CAI, MTI cam kit. Thats it!! Crazy power gain up top.

To appreciate the results we really need the cam specs.

Is that a 50lbft loss at 3500 rpm? Is a cam that would go along with a supercharger?

I saw that too. Defiently something up there or just a REALLY BIG END cam. Which would be crazy.

Of course, horses for courses - just would want to see what expectations for use there are.

Yes, thats what you deal with a top end type of cam profile. Can't have your cake and eat it to as they say.

Yep. Understood. Wasn't saying that the expectation is wrong, more that I *wonder* what it would do with some form of "unatural aspiration". Seems like then, one IS having the cake and eating it too.

Yeah, but a bump in compression would help alleviate that. I had a very similar cam from AI and bumping the compression from 10.1 to 11.0 upped my torque by over 100 ft lbs at 2500 rpm.

Thanks you. One of the many advantages of doing a custom grind cam with a person who has countless years of cam design over picking a off the shelf cam based on sound or what your buddy has in his car.
Thanks,
