I used the pro-clip in my C7, and really liked it.
That was, right up until someone getting into the passenger seat banged an arm against it and knocked it off of the piece that it's clipped to. Of course that only had to happen once to cause the plastic to be just deformed enough to where it had no real ability to stay in place and it began falling off every few days. So I bought another one. It was then only about a month before someone knocked it loose again and then the same thing happened. Pretty soon it was falling off while making right turns or accelerating up an on-ramp.
I haven't bought another one, and I'm still looking for a better option.
That's the mounting bracket I was talking about above. If people aren't being careful, they can bump it while falling into the passenger seat and force it off of that metal piece it's clipped onto. That ruins the mounting base and it never holds well enough again to stay in place after it's been knocked off there.

I gotcha. Hopefully that ProClip mount is good a combination with this spring-loaded-holder.
